Although the Portland Water Bureau was given tree removal approval, the approval was with conditions. But those didn't seem to deter them from moving forward with having a tree removal company start cutting down trees on the SW corner of Dodge Park Blvd. This was to be the start of their overall plan of removing over 300 trees, some of them being old growth redwoods.
Since Multnomah County was unresponsive to our requests to confirm that the conditions had been met, citizens took to old fashioned methods of hindering the process by blocking access to the trees.
Thank you citizens for enforcing what should have been done by the county. Small successes we will take!

In case you forgot,
the Portland Water Bureau has chosen one, if not THE most expensive methods to filter the water from Bull Run. This watershed has proven to provide safe water to the Portland region due to its unique landscape and terrain for decades. To our knowledge not ONE Portlander has died from the Bull Run Water.
The rates you will be experiencing if they are successful, will make safe water unaffordable in the Portland area.
A citizens group is leading the charge for YOU, but they need your help!
Help support the fight against unaffordable, chemical filtered water by a tax-deductible donation today. And, just as important, please share this with everyone you know that is a water consumer in Portland.
You are the beneficiary! A smart investment today will help keep you from paying exponentially in your water rates.
