The Power of Possibilities: We Shall Over Come! Thank you for signing our petition to open St. Jude Thaddeus Parish! Your prayers and signatures continue to bring attention to the plight of St. Thaddeus Church and the closing of Catholic Churches throughout the United States. Last month, the civil rights anthem, "We Shall Overcome”, was placed in the public domain. The judgment recognized the source of the song was African-American Spirituals and earlier protest song sung by African-Americans. The song is a clarion call to people to stand up for what is right. To stand tall! To be courageous! To never give up! To fight together! This is the power of song! Let us continue to unite in creating a church that is for, by and of the beloved community. We shall overcome!
