St. Thaddeus Church celebrated our Veterans in 2015 (11-8-2015) . The program honored the 35 veterans. Thirty-two were members and three were community members. St. Thaddeus Church members have served in the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines Branches of the United States Military. This includes men and women who fought in World War II (WWII); the Korean War; the Vietnam War; Desert Storm; and Iraqi Freedom. Three current parishioners are veterans of WWII. Ret. Army MSG Donna Williams explained the history of Veterans Day. After thanking the veterans for their service, she presented each veteran with a certificate by branch of service. “Every church needs to honor their veterans.” stated Ret. Army MSG Donna Williams. Veterans were seen with tears in their eyes. St. Thaddeus Church is deeply rooted in the community. St. Thaddeus Church Matters!
