Formal institutional education contributes greatly to traffic congestion, fuel consumption and toxic emissions. Having a 5 day school week will reduce a great burden on our resources as well as give respite to environment also.

Furthermore National Education Policy emphasizes on creative learning by students rather than rote learning formula of the assembly line schools today. Children are not finding enough time to live a relaxed life. 

Children and youngsters in India are already under unnecessary pressure of studies. This leaves them little room to develop their own hobbies, interests and talents.
