Allow people with Coeliac Disease into the UK Armed Forces

Currently, anyone suffering with a gluten intolerance cannot join the UK armed forces. However the Army, Royal Navy and RAF cater for those requiring Halal, Kosher and Vegetarian meals. This is discrimination against a non-life threatening food intolerance which can easily be dealt with.

Proposal: To allow sufferers of Coeliac Disease to join any of the UK forces, PROVIDING they sign a disclaimer in the event they may suffer symptoms.

My daughter has shown a keen interest in joining the armed forces but she has Coeliac Disease and therefore at present would be unable to join. How can it be in this day and age that some dietary requirements are met but not others?

Help me to change this... to give everyone who wishes to serve our country, the chance they deserve.
