KEEP FRED FREE!

The Issue

Fred the goat, the unofficial mascot of Poinciana, has long been a member of the Osceola community. Where he comes from...different stories have different origins. Regardless, Fred harms no one, bothers no one. He doesn't cause traffic, doesn't go in the street and doesn't make a mess anywhere. If you haven't see him, then you wouldn't even know he exists. He maintains the greenery along Marigold and doesn't make a sound. Fred is the ideal citizen. He does his job, doesn't make a ruckus and goes in his woods to sleep. He honestly probably keeps the coyotes away from Deerwood elementary as well as the wild hogs that have recently popped up in the area and lives in harmony with the many beautiful deer we have. It is the belief of many of us citizens of Poinciana, that Fred should be left, exactly where he is....a nice wooded area. Several of us feed him and care about him. LEAVE OUR FRED ALONE!!! #FreeFred #JusticeforFred
