Eco-Friendly Diwali

Eco-Friendly Diwali
The Issue
Problem : Pollution
Delhi is one of the most polluted cities of the world and the air pollution is choking the NCR citizens. There are many factors that contribute to the pollution, including population, automation, industrialization, etc. However, one of the major factors is bursting of firecrackers and fireworks on the day of Diwali.
Every Diwali, the pollution level rises by approximately 30%. This is because bursting fireworks and firecrackers releases many harmful gases toxic pollutants into the air. These include Copper, Cadmium, Lead, Magnesium, Sodium, Zinc, Nitrate, and Nitrite. Last year, on Diwali, the Delhi pollution levels surpassed even the Beijing pollution levels. People with lung and respiratory diseases are likely to be affected more as they are a higher risk of health complications.
After Diwali night, the morning view is littered with firecracker wrappers and waste.
Solution
The solution lies in awareness and hence, reducing the adverse impact on environment by either limiting the use of firecrackers or stop bursting them completely. Therefore I am requesting all of you to watch my video and be a part of this campaign to save the Earth by signing my petition because, Together We Can Make A Difference towards a cleaner, brighter and happier future.
I request the Indian Government to ban firecrackers with more than 125 decibel level.
Thank You, and have a safe and eco-friendly Diwali!
