Sir, small businessman who are not selling essential commodities and are running shops which are leased or rented are facing the actual heat of LockDown.

Though each and every businessman has done their best to follow LockDown guidelines we are depressed with the issues of rental and salary payment as for two months our establishment will b non operational.

Salaries cannot be denied as our workmen are dependant on us. But our landlords are not totally dependant on rental payments for surviving and even if they are they can be asked to charge less for the period of lockdown and even more if possible.

A suggestion:- " In case where rent exceeds 10000  Landlords can be asked to charge 30% of the rent or Rs 10000 whichever is higher per tenant. This will allow them to payoff their caretaker,security guard expenses and maintainance charges if any."

For example if Landlord charges rent of Rs 60000. He can take 18000.

If he charges Rs 30000. He can take Rs 10000.
