Where's The VAC Case Manager?

There seems to be some misinformation going around regarding a  VAC/DND Casualty Support Protocol. That seriously injured Veterans with long term, complex care needs will automatically be assigned a VAC Case Manager to assist in providing support. To provide a single, reliable point of contact to help seriously injured Veterans navigate VAC's adversarial bureaucracy. This simply isn't true. I initially found this out in 1997. One has never been appointed, and I've stopped asking. Another service VAC likes to promote, but in reality is rarely if ever provided.
