Since becoming CEO and president in 2018 plus size clothing retailer, Torrid, has taken a downward turn in quality, design and overall customer service. When met with these concerns CEO Liz Munoz has not only reacted unprofessionally on multiple social media platforms but has attacked customers and long time fans of torrid to the point of tears and doxxing. When approached with these concerns Liz has denied, deflected and ignored all allegations instead of listening and talking about these issues. This has been going on for years to the point where it has started to spill over onto employees who now feel threatened by her and fear losing their jobs if they speak up about not only customers being mistreated but themselves. Torrid is an important pillar in the plus size community and we would all like to support them again but that can’t happen until real change starts. The first place would be to terminate Liz and bring someone in who cares about their customers and employees and wants to listen.
