Pls Sign by Mon, Jan 19, 9am: Demand a special vote for removal of SCSA board members
The Issue
The integrity and functionality of the SCSA Board are crucial for our community's trust and progress. Recently, concerns have arisen regarding the actions and decisions made by board members Angie Podesta, Garrett Fiorenza and Evan Fiorenza. This has sparked widespread frustration and calls for accountability among the membership.
As dedicated members who rely on the board to act in our best interests, it is incumbent upon us to address these issues head-on. The solution rests in our ability to exercise our rights as members to initiate a special vote aimed at removing Angie Podesta and Evan Fiorenza from their positions if they should so refuse to resign voluntarily. Garrett Fiorenza already officially resigned at the Jan 15th board meeting.
This is not a plea taken lightly; our rationale is backed by a series of actions and decisions that have not reflected the values and objectives we stand for as an organization. The SCSA community deserves leadership that mirrors transparency, integrity, and a commitment to our shared goals. Our players deserve coaches that continue to be committed to the program which is currently in jeopardy - we need to provide clarity and stability for our coaches (coaches have planned resignations on February 1).
To achieve this, we must demonstrate cohesive and unified action. By signing this petition, you are asserting your support for a call to action that could restore faith and direction to the SCSA Board. With your signature (SCSA and Alliance members - both parents can sign), we can push forward a special vote to assess the suitability of Angie Podesta and Evan Fiorenza's continued presence on the board.
Join us in this crucial endeavor to uphold the values of transparency and responsibility that are the bedrock of our society. Sign this petition to initiate the process of re-evaluating the leadership on the SCSA Board and to advocate for the positive change we urgently need.
