Bring Seventeen to Perth for their Asia Tour
The issue
Pledis Entertainment as well as their partners Champion Entertainment Australia and Three Angles Production have announced Seventeen's Asia Tour. As part of their Asia Tour, Australia is included and is having concerts in Melbourne and Sydney on the 27th and 28th of August respectively. There is no added concerts to other parts of Australia such as Perth.
As a Carat for about a few months I have realised that Seventeen put soo much dedication into their work ethic and to every song they produced, write and even choreographed. Especially when they won 1st place, on Show Champion on 4th of May, I was really proud of them. So when they announced that they will be having an Asia Tour and Australia is included as one of the countries they will be heading I was really happy. The only catch is that it won't be held in my home city of Perth.
There hasn't been any k-pop concert held in Perth for around 3 years. The last one was in 2013 for the Feel Korea. As a resident of Perth, it made me realise that other k-pop artist could be including Perth as part of their leg whenever they come to Australia.
When Big Bang came in 2015, BTS in 2015, CNBlue in 2013 and many more came to Australia, Perth was not included. They only included the typical Melbourne and Sydney to their Australian leg. Not only I thought that Perth would get a chance, it made me realise that we won't be able to get a kpop artist to come to Perth at all.
Perth is known to be a isolated city as it is situated right in the western part of Australia. While in Melbourne and Sydney they are situated in the eastern part of Australia. Perth has the same things as Sydney and Melbourne. We have beaches, the scenery and the concert venue needed to stage the concert. Not only would it take more than 3 hours to reach there but flight tickets are quite expensive. Therefore, we feel isolated from everything. It isn't fair for those who love their band or group having to travel more than 3 hours, plus pay for their accommodation and their concert tickets.
Since most of Carat fans are around school-aged this means that they won't be able to travel alone without parents consent and they still have school after the weekend of the concert. Also, Seventeen has quite a large fan base here in Perth.
So bringing, Seventeen not only would be the first solo group concert to be held in Perth it would also give prospect to Perth kpop fans that other kpop groups would come to Perth whenever they come Australia.
Pledis Entertainment, Champion Entertainment and Three Angles Production please include Perth as part of their Australia leg tour!!
