Hello there! My name is Brittany as a parent and a pageantry compatriot, I am deeply pained by the tragedies that child and adolescent bullying in schools and on social media can produce. This issue is not only personal to me but to my daughter as well who is an active participant in the pageantry world, a sphere where these incidents are unfortunately common.  She decided to create this petition during her reign as Little Miss Authentique National 24. 

Bullying is not just about physical intimidation but also emotional torment. With the rise in popularity of social media platforms among youth, cyberbullying is becoming a distressing epidemic - one in three children have been victims of cyberbullying (source: DoSomething.org). Meanwhile, studies indicate that almost 1 in every 5 students reports being bullied in school (source: National Center for Educational Statistics, 2019). These alarming numbers highlight the urgent need for intervention.

We are, therefore, seeking all of your support to fight against this distressing issue and to build a respectful and empathetic society for our children. We call upon school districts, educational institutions, parents, and the community at large to take this pledge with us - to raise awareness, educate our children about the negative impacts of bullying, and thereby create a safer environment for our children - in real life and online.
