I've just signed the following petition addressed to: Datuk Masidi Manjun. Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister.

to: Datuk Masidi Manjun. Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister

Dear Minister,

Please will you explain to me why both the State of Sabah and the Malaysian Palm oil Board are so reluctant to endorse a “No Kill – Zero Tolerance” policy? This is simply asking you all to respect and enforce the law, isn’t it? What’s your problem with this?

I see a photo of a beaten to death orangutan on a Sabah oil palm plantation and wonder to myself what kind of people do this and what kind of people in power allow it to happen. Can you tell me please?

Yours sincerely,

A Friend of the Orangutans.
