Hasbro released a series of two-packs based on "Spider-Man: The Animated Series", which ran for five seasons from 1994 to 1998 on The Fox Kids Network, for fans to buy.  Among the two-packs made by Hasbro were Spider-Man in his black costume with Carnage, Doctor Octopus with Aunt May Parker, the Green Goblin with Mary Jane Watson, Doctor Strange with Morbius, Peter Parker with Alistair Smythe as the Ultimate Spider-Slayer, Daredevil with Hydro-Man, and Spider-Man with the Vulture.  Some characters from the animated series, such as Venom, the Scorpion, the Chameleon and Mysterio, were also made and released as sold-separately figures.

However, one villain that has yet to be made based on "Spider-Man: The Animated Series" is Herman Schultz/the Shocker.  On the 1994 "Spider-Man" animated series, the Shocker got his weaponry from the Kingpin's lieutenant, Alistair Smythe, and he was one of the Kingpin's regular henchmen throughout the series.  In the second season of the series, the Shocker became one of the team members of the Kingpin's team, The Insidious Six, with Doctor Octopus serving as the team's field leader.  As a result of joining the Insidious Six, the Shocker was also one of the most frequently-used villains on "Spider-Man: The Animated Series", appearing in ten total episodes during the show's five season run.  The first time an  action figure was made of the Shocker based on this TV series was during Toy Biz's "Spider-Man: The Animated Series" toyline in 1995.  However, the original Toy Biz figure was painted to look like the Shocker did in the comic books instead of the animated series, so fans have yet to add a series accurate figure of the Shocker to their collections.

We, the fans, would like to see Hasbro make a new action figure of the Shocker based on the 1990s animated series on a new body mold, to include a new head sculpt with eye holes in his mask to show his eyes, for the figure to be painted to look like his animated series counterpart, to include new "vibro-shock" blast accessories for his wrist gauntlets, to include a set of open hands and alternate fist hands for both hands, and to be sold separately in all stores and on all websites.
