I am a mother from Louisiana, and my children's biological father is in prison, facing the possibility of release due to external efforts. He is a man known for his violent ways, causing harm to women, children, and anyone who crosses his path to fulfill his own desires. His presence in our lives has been a never-ending nightmare I would never wish upon anyone.

We believe in justice, and justice for us, and many other victims pertains to his continued incarceration. Our society should not perpetuate a cycle of harm by freeing individuals with such violent tendencies, who pose a significant danger to others.

Research shows that abusers are likely to fall back into old habits of violence if given the freedom (National Institute of Justice). Moreover, one in four women and one in seven men in our country will experience severe physical violence by an intimate partner during their lifetime (CDC report). In light of these alarming statistics, we cannot afford to have offenders like Fredrick on the loose due to heedless bailouts.

Public safety is our ultimate concern. Our children, our friends, our family, and we ourselves deserve to live in a safe environment without the fear this man has inflicted upon us. Let's let our voices echo in the halls of justice in Louisiana, appealing to our representatives to ensure this man stays behind bars where he belongs.
