PLEASE CONDEMN THE DEFAMATORY GMBHCA PETITION AGAINST MANIK GHOSHAL - TRUSTEE / MEMBER FOR 25 YRS

The private petition, open to GMBHCA members, on Change.org, is absolutely false and with personal vendetta. The starter Sanchari Bhattacharya is inspired by acute personal animosity and hatred towards Manik Ghoshal for whatever reason.

1. The political / religious view mentioned in the petition is that of Dr Koenrad Elst, a world famous Indologist, whose YouTube lecture video, ‘Negationism’, about whitewashing of Indian Islamic history, was posted by mistake in the GMBHCA WA group by Mr Manik Ghoshal. He deleted the video immediately and also apologised for the mistake. Therefore there was no reason to be so spiteful towards Manik Ghoshal. Whatever view expressed was Dr Elst’s.

2. “Ghar me ghus ke marenge” (We will enter their home and hunt them down) was famously assured to Indians by PM Modi of India, against Pakistani terrorists, after a major terrorist attack in Kashmir in which 40 soldiers died. Mr Ghoshal as admin of the WA group, removed one member for insultingly attributing PM Modi’s comment to him without any News Awareness or common sense causing wrong impression in WA group.

3. Mr Ghoshal deleted all messages by himself and others about Dr Elst’s video, which was posted by mistake. The comments were irrelevant to GMBHCA cultural activities. Mr Ghoshal clearly informed members that all comments irrelevant to GMBHCA would be deleted. He requested members to stop posting. He deleted all messages against Dr Elst’s video posted by mistake. Manik Ghoshal , as admin, also curtailed posting rights by members to stop the irrelevant debate from continuing and made the group ADMIN ONLY.

4. Because all irrelevant comments were deleted a few members took offence and exited the WA group. The total number was 10% to 20%. Over 80% of the members were aware of the misunderstanding and did not comment or quit. ⁠Mr Manik Ghoshal, who had started the WA group for Hindu members of Greater Manchester Bengali Hindu Cultural Association only, later, changed the name of the WA group and opened it up for all Hindu members of Manchester.

6. THIS PETITION BASED ON WHICH Mr MANIK GHOSHAL WAS REMOVED FROM GMBHCA, STARTED BY SANCHARI, WAS A VERY ANTI MANIK GHOSHAL DOCUMENT. MANIK GHOSHAL HAS BEEN A HIGHLY RESPECTED AND TIRELESS MEMBER OF THE BENGALI HINDU COMMUNITY OF MANCHESTER FOR LAST 25 YEARS.
 
THE PETITION HAS CAUSED IRREPARABLE DAMAGE TO MANIK GHOSHAL’S REPUTATION AND SELF-ESTEEM  WITHIN THE MANCHESTER BENGALI HINDU COMMUNITY.

I……………………. ……………………………………………… STRONGLY CONDEMN THE HATEFUL PETITION AND HUMBLY REQUEST THE COURTS TO TAKE STRICT PUNITIVE ACTION AGAINST THE ‘STARTER’, SPREADERS AND SUPPORTERS OF THE  PETITION TO DEFAME MANIK GHOSHAL.
FURTHERMORE WE DEMAND THAT MR MANIK GHOSHAL BE REINSTATED AS TREASURER / TRUSTEE / EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEMBER OF GMBHCA WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT AND APOLOGY.
