We, the undersigned parents and community members of Pleasant View Middle School, formally request that the Toronto District School Board review the leadership at the school and take appropriate action, including the dismissal or reassignment of Principal Ms Jones, due to ongoing concerns raised by parents regarding safety and school management.

Over the past school year, increasing number of parents have expressed concerns regarding the handling of safety matters and the overall leadership environment at Pleasant View Middle School. Despite efforts by parents and members of the school community to raise these concerns through meetings and communication with the school administration, many families feel, that their concerns have not been adequately addressed.

As a result, a growing number of parents have lost confidence in the current leadership and do not feel comfortable having their children attend school under the current administration.

Key Concerns Raised by Parents 

Members of the parent community have expressed concerns including:

• Handling and communication of student safety issues
• Lack of transparency and timely communication with parents
• Administrative decisions that have caused confusion or concern among families
• A decline in trust between school leadership and the parent community.

These concerns have been raised through meetings and correspondence with school administration and board officials.

We respectfully request that the Toronto District School Board:

Conduct a formal review of the leadership and administration at Pleasant View Middle School.
Investigate the safety concerns raised by parents.

Consider the dismissal or reassignment of the current principal if the review determines that a leadership change is necessary.

Provide the parent community with a clear plan to restore trust, transparency, and confidence in the school’s leadership.
