PLEA FOR REFUND - CAUTION DEPOSIT MONEY -TAMILNADU MBBS-2022-23 -DME-SELECTION COMMITTEE

The Issue

To The Honorable Health Minister and Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Department, Tamilnadu,India

Respected sir,

We are the affected Parents and Guardians that we were paid caution/Security  Deposit of One Lac Indian Rupees ( Rs.100,000) to seek the MBBS admission for the year of 2022-2023 under the Directorate of Medical Education, Tamilnadu.
During the 2nd Round of counselling, the MBBS seats which are allotted by the Selection committee, from Private Medical colleges and Universities under management quota are have different fee structure , which we were completely unaware of that.

We came across the fee structure of the Private Medical colleges, in which we got the allotment at the 2nd Round of counselling for admission is Un-affordable as for as our financial circumstances. For this reason, we unable to take the admission during the 2nd Round of counselling and seat allotment and decline the allotment.

Since we are not going to take admission for the MBBS 2022-23 session, we are demanding for our Caution Deposit money of Rupees One Lac, which we paid during the 2nd Round counselling.

We were aware that, as per Notification of Tamilnadu Medical Selection committee 2022-2023 G.O.(D) Number: 1003 -Health and Family welfare (MCA-1) Department, dated 17/09/2022 under Clause 12(iii)g, that, those who are not opted  for the allotted MBBS seats during 2nd Round of counselling is not eligible for Refund of caution Deposit of Rupees one Lac.

In this context, we are unaware of the fees structure of the Private medical colleges in Tamilnadu and its not notified in the public domain to know about the fee structure.  For this reason, we were decline the admission for the allotted MBBS seats.

we request on behalf of all affected parents and students, in this regard that, please do consider our plea, to refund the Caution Deposit money of Rs. 100000 ( One Lac Rupees) as soon as possible . This refund money will benefit to continue further education of our children, for their choice and interest of their future.

Our request to all concerned authorities of Selection committee of Directorate of Medical Education, Tamilnadu to address our concern and do the needful to get our Caution/ security Deposit money for Refund.

Thanking you
