Plant a Tree to Stop Climate Change

The Issue

There is an excessive amount to carbon dioxide in our atmosphere which impacts our breathing and ultimately impacts our quality of life. Planting trees not only puts more oxygen in the atmosphere, but more trees actually helps to eliminate climate change. Trees clean the air and make it easier for us to breathe. Our atmosphere impacts all of us--you, your family, our communities and our world.

Why would planting trees make a difference for us? More trees would remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, storm runoff would be avoided and air pollution would be absorbed.

Trees can eliminate climate change and save the planet. More trees would help capture over two-thirds of man-made emissions. This would improve our atmosphere, our breathing and quality of life.

Why should we care about this? Extreme heat events have become more frequent and severe over the years. The last seven years have been the warmest on record. Sea levels are rising faster and faster each day.  Two-thirds of extreme weather events over the last twenty years were influenced by humans impact on the environment. Our wildlife population has decreased by sixty percent over the last forty years. If we continue at this pace, what will our planet be like in the next forty years?

How can you make a difference right now?

1. Plant a tree or two or three

2. Advocate to preserve our forests by petitioning removal of forests by industry and business growth.

3. Educate others about the importance of planting and protecting trees to stop climate change and improve our planet.

The following oganizations support our mission to plant trees, eliminate climate change and make our world a better place. Consider planting a tree in honor of one of your loved ones. It will take all of us or we jeopordize there being none of us. Take action now and please sign this petition to end climate change once and for good!
