We strongly object to the revdevelopment of the existing TEXACO petrol station, Bath Road into an Islamic Centre + retail unit.

We object to this as it is not the correct site for this proposal and reasons include, but not limited to:

 - Increased traffic congestion and parking challenges for surrounding areas of Bath Road / Great West Road.

 - Dangerous increase of footfall on what is essentially an “island”, interposed between 2 of the busiest roads in Hounslow – Bath Road and Great West Road. There has already been numerous fatalities over the last few years despite the reduced 30 mph speed limit

 - Noise pollution in an already over populated area - which will likely increase during both peak / off peak hours and over religious festivals.

 - The design and appearance of the development as a 3 storey high development is far too big for the site and does not align with the overall aesthetic of the road.

There are plentiful religious community centres for all faiths across Hounslow, this includes over 15+ mosques / muslim centres in Hounslow alone. 

In light of the significant negative impact this development would have on the local community, we urge the council to take these points into serious consideration as we strongly object to this plan. We respectfully request that the council refuse planning permission for this development in its current form.
