Pledge not to let convicted domestic abusers play for your team.

Pledge not to let convicted domestic abusers play for your team.
The Issue
I am a multiple survivor of rape and domestic violence, and I used to be a Steelers fan. But after seeing the way the NFL treats players who commit violence against women, I’m having a hard time cheering for my favorite team these days.
Sign my petition if you think it’s time the NFL took violence against women seriously.
Did you know that in the NFL, a player has to be criminally convicted of domestic violence twice before they finally get kicked out? That means that if my rapist had been playing for the League, he would still have a job after he attacked me. Domestic violence and rape can have devastating impact on people’s lives, and no abuser should get away with hurting someone like that.
People across the country have demanded that the NFL to implement a zero tolerance policy against players who are convicted of violence against women. But the League hasn’t been listening and until they do, individual teams like our Pittsburgh Steelers should pledge not to let convicted domestic abusers play for them.
The Detroit Lions have already committed not to hire players with a history of domestic abuse, now it’s the Steelers’ turn.
Tell our Pittsburgh Steelers to pledge that if a court convicts someone of domestic violence, that person won't get to keep being a football hero every Sunday.
