Whereas:  The City of Pittsburgh, the Urban Redevelopment Authority, and private partners have used public funds for the planning and preparation of a roadway construction project in the neighborhood of Four Mile Run that poses safety hazards, traffic congestion, noise and air pollution, the potential for park-and-ride commuters to use an unjustifiable amount of limited residential parking, threatens the removal of valued green spaces,  and threatens to destructively alter two historic Pittsburgh neighborhoods without the residents approval. Therefore:

We the undersigned residents of Four Mile Run, Panther Hollow along with other supporters demand that the City of Pittsburgh immediately halt development activities of the proposed Oakland Transit Connector in Four Mile Run, give full and complete accounting of their plans for the project, reveal all parties and partners with vested interests in the project, and provide an audited accounting of public money invested thus far in the planning and development of the proposed roadway project.
