1. I see that the online petition site, change.org, will send you emails asking for donations to support them, etc., hopefully not an annoying amount of email but I can not control that, hope it's okay. I think the cause is worth it but sorry if it's annoying, I can understand that.
2. Supporters are emailing the petition link to their friends, which is great, but that means that some people may get it from more than one source, again hoping that is not annoying.
3. We are doing okay so far, and I expect many more signatures, which we will need, if the newspaper publishes the link as I have requested. They have been great in terms of publishing resident inputs in the past.
4. Most of us are upset at the though of losing Pitney for his historic and cultural treasures, and rightly so. But it also makes no financial or logical or due diligence sense. The Township Committee has a financial problem to solve and thinks they have a good solution, we need to recognize the full range of reasons why it is not the right solution and encourage them to use higher values and longer-term thinking.
