Justice for Paul Garcia and Caitlin Festerling

Justice for Paul Garcia and Caitlin Festerling

The Issue

On November 13, 2019 my young bonus daughter Caitlin and her boyfriend, Paul, were tragically killed in a car accident. We believe the driver that rear ended them was texting and driving, which caused Caitlin's car to be pushed into on-coming traffic. The drivers speed was 53 mph when she rear ended Caitlin and Paul. Her brakes were not activated until after she hit them. After a thorough investigation by Oro Valley Police with evidence of phone records, witnesses, and what appears to be inconsistencies from the driver, the Pima County Attorney did not press charges. Oro Valley was the first to enact "hands free ordinance." Our devastating loss should set a standard for this law. We are asking for signatures to support our plea for the Pima County Attorney to give this case the opportunity to go before a judge and jury. Help bring meaning to Caitlin and Paul's lives by not letting this happen to someone else. We are fighting for justice for Caitlin and Paul, our family, our friends and our community so this doesn't happen again. There is not a second that goes by that we do not miss our Sissy and Paul. Our hearts are broken and our lives are forever changed.

An email to Barbara LaWall or Governor Ducey would also be helpful. Here's the link to contact Doug Ducey. https://azgovernor.gov/
