Sunday, July 14th I was on my way home from work driving down Canyon, when I was hit by a drunk motorcyclist, the motorcyclist did not make it, I have been suffering from PTSD and my car was ruled totaled. MULTIPLE officers stated that Ricky J’s the bar that the man was leaving from is KNOWN for over-serving people.  I’ve seen several comments regarding people being over-served there and we just don’t want this to continue being an issue. I’m extremely grateful that I was not severely injured or worse but that may not be the case the next time if something doesn’t come of this and they are allowed to continue doing this. There is an average of 29 alcohol impaired crash fatalities daily and that number could be lowered if bartenders followed the law and did not over serve. I know that we cannot completely fix this issue as people can drink at home and do as they please but I do believe this could help. Please help support us and sign our petition, spread DUI awareness you’re not just putting your life at risk when you get behind the wheel impaired!

Update: I’ve edited the title because overall I would just like something done, getting them shut down I’ve started to feel is far fetched but I do believe if there are extra DUI patrols going on during their peak hours it would help people not drink as much or not drive as well as the bar tenders hopefully pay closer attention to when to cut off.
