First Step Learning Lab located at 207 East Canal Street in Picayune, Ms. wants to take over East Side Elementary School which now sits vacant on North Haugh Avenue. First Step Learning Lab is growing daily, and looking to expand to help the community in all ways possible. After a lot of research we are excited to announce that we want to reopen East Side Elementary. This historical school has been vacant for many years, and the longer it sits the more damage it becomes. First Step Learning Lab is a firm believer that it is never to late to take that FIRST STEP. We currently host many community events along with, virtual tutoring, private face to face tutoring, group tutoring, ACT Prep classes, GED Prep classes, Before and After school care, Summer Camps, and Childcare services during ALL school breaks. We also assist with feeding the homeless, helping with job assistance, home assistance, and so much more. With this building we can assure greater good as we will be able to assist many more people and prove that NOBODY will be left behind. STAND WITH ME AS I FIGHT TO REOPEN EAST SIDE ELEMENTARY AND TURN IT INTO FIRST STEP LEARNING LAB COMMUNITY CENTER, A FACILITY BIGGER THAN JUST AN ORDINARY CHILDCARE CENTER. We need your help! Growing up in this small town I found myself trapped in excuses to why I should give up. This town has NOTHING for our youth, nor does it have a place to help give adults an opportunity to take that First Step they need to better their life as well as assist them with childcare, or mentor their children to become leaders. First Step Learning Lab is that and more. Reopening the doors to this historical building could be the change we need in the small town of Picayune.
