The developer who had sought demolition of the property had until yesterday to appeal the Historic Preservation Commission's decision to deny permission for demolition. No appeal was filed, so the decision stands. The developer can choose to sell the property, work with the Historic Preservation Office on a plan to renovate the property, or wait until April of next year at which time he could proceed with demolition.
