Add Pickleball to G.R. Herberger Park (56th St & Indian School)

Add Pickleball to G.R. Herberger Park (56th St & Indian School)
The Issue
I am reaching out regarding G.R Herberger Park. I wanted to present the idea of changing one of the four tennis courts at this park into 4 pickle ball courts. You can fit four courts onto a single tennis court. I never see all of these four courts taken with people playing tennis at once. I believe that only having three tennis courts, and then having an additional four pickle ball courts will draw more of a crowd to this park. I believe that it will take minimal funding as you just need to get the four nets for the pickle ball court, repaint, and re-stripe. I can picture the amount of families it will bring out to play pickleball on saturday and sunday mornings. I played tennis in high school, and know that pickleball is a sport for everyone. Any level can play with anyone as it is a much more fun and friendly game then tennis. It is much harder to go out and hit the tennis ball around as it is a pickle ball. Pickle ball is much slower making it easier for every age group and every skill level to come together and have some fun! There are no pickle ball locations in this area of town (besides for Arizona Country Club, but it is not public). Please let me know if there is any way you will work with this idea.
