It has been decades since Occidental Mindoro Electric Cooperative (OMECO) started providing electricity to the people of Municipality of Mamburao, Province of Occidental Mindoro, Philippines. However, since time immemorial, consumers experience power interruptions for number of times EVERYDAY. It has been hampering the Municipality's economic development with private individuals' and business enterprises' economic activity. Moreover, daily power interruptions have caused distractions of personal effects dependent on electricity. Solar Para Sa Bayan provides a perfect alternative since they provide solar generated electricity. Nearby Municipality of Paluan has been enjoying uninterrupted power supply since they took over the area after establishing a solar farm with thousands of solar power panels. People-consumers perpetually pay their electricity bills, yet receive poor services in return. It is high time that change be made.
