RAISE AWARENESS ON THE ABUSE AND MISTREATMENT | Aspin Dogs Matter too

RAISE AWARENESS ON THE ABUSE AND MISTREATMENT | Aspin Dogs Matter too
The Issue
Aspin or Asong Pinoy are dogs native to the Philippines. These dogs were formerly known as Askals or Asong kalye (meaning “street dogs”). They are often victims of abuse and mistreatment because of how they look and they are valued less compared to other breeds of dogs. Increasing number of cruelty cases are prevalent.
RA 8485 or the Animal Welfare Act states that animal abuse is punishable by law. With the rich information available on social platforms, we see many records of abuse and neglect, but also, many improvements are happening for the better future of these dogs. Aspins are lovable, calm, happy, and fun to have around. Aspin Dogs matter too.
Woof Tails Society members cannot bear to see dogs suffering because of irresponsible owners or heartless people who beat stray dogs. We want to give Aspins who were abused/abandoned a second chance in life, hopefully a better one.
Aspins are one of the most abused breeds of dogs in our today’s society and so, as a responsible citizen for animals, we, the Woof Tails Society commit ourselves in disemminating such information about Asong Pinoy to raise awareness and to protect this friendly breed of dog against animal cruelty.
When can we tell enough is enough? Who can stop this if we don’t act together? If not you then who? If not us, who will?
Your support will help our community achieve our goal to stop the cruelty towards Aspins. Every sign can make a huge difference in saving our Aspins. Give your support and spread the word by sharing this petition for a change.
