Cruelty, Maltreatment, and Negligence. These are some of the main reasons of animal cruelty, especially for domestic animals. Not just dogs or cats, but also pigs, cows, cattle, etc. Even though animals are protected by Republic Act No. 8485 and Republic Act No. 10631, Our group found out that domestic animal cruelty is still widely practiced. Our vision is to make the world a better place for the animals even by just a little. That it is not pointless, as long as a progress is made. Our mission is to call the urge to action.

              According to Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), they monitored more than a hundred cases of animal cruelty in the country every year, many of which are ignored due to lack of stiff penalties against animal abuse. Cruelty, dogs are being shot dead on the street. Farm animals like chickens from factory farms are being transported without food and water. Pigs and cows are drowned so they can weigh heavier. Maltreatment and Negligence, a dog pound in Manila got sued by PAWS for fitting 60 cats in a 2x3 cage. Unwanted breeding and births happen due to lack of knowledge, resulting in the increase of stray animals. Domestic animals like dogs and chicken are also being exploited for entertainment purposes.

              Given these, it is highly likely that these forms of abuse are going to continue unless we take action. That is why we are going to use several online platforms to promote and raise awareness for everyone and create an online petition with the goal of stopping violence against domestic animals.
