Kensington CAPA is known for their arts program! Even in our school logo we represent each program with pride! But as of late news Kensington Creative and performing arts high school has to close their theater department. Students including myself are heartbroken, upset, and angry at this. Theater has done for much for its students, it has become a reason to show up to school and a reason to do well in school. Without our theater program KCAPA IS NOT THE SAME! They say we don’t have enough funds to keep the program open, but they have enough funds for standardized testing? The same testing that proves nothing but that some students are good at test taking? STUDENTS NEED THE THEATER PROGRAM! And do NOT deserve to be stripped of it
