Lee Ving of the band FEAR should be inducted into the Philadelphia Walk of Fame for his contributions to hardcore punk rock, and American rock and roll in general. FEAR was the first hardcore punk band to appear on live American television (Saturday Night Live, 1981 ). 

Ving also represented Philadelphia's contributions to the genre in the legendary documentary Decline and Fall of Western Civilization, and appeared in the Oscar-winning film Flashdance and the television program "Kids of FAME" among others.
