A more thorough and impactful response is needed for Petsmart front-end employees. Sales of animals and pet adoptions should be suspended IMMEDIATELY.  It is nearly impossible to maintain the CDC recommended 3-6 ft distance when selling or adopting a pet. Grooming services and Training have been stopped, now it is time to show some care for the employees in the merchandise areas of the stores; those that actually have the most "social contact" with customers.

Yes, Petsmart is an "essential business" as a PET SUPPLY retailer. But selling animals at this point is both frivolous and puts your employees at risk every time an interaction takes place. We are asking Petsmart to stop the sale and adoptions of animals NOW for not only the health and safety of your employees and their families, but also to aid in the slowing down of "community spread" of COVID-19 during this pandemic. PETSMART, IT IS TIME TO STEP UP, SHOW RESPONSIBILITY, AND DO YOUR PART.
