Puppy mills should be banned law should be created. Often disguised as a breeding kennel, making a profit should not come before proper treatment of the animals. Puppies should not be forced into a life of breeding to the point that their bodies become useless and unusable. Forced to live in small overcrowded, stacked wire cages and provided only the basic necessities (food and water) some pets do not even receive that and become malnourished. Left to live in their own fecal matter (and the fecal matter of other dogs). Leaving them subject to catching diseases such as kennel cough, bordetella, parvo, and rabies. They receive no socialization (animal or human) or proper veterinary care therefore they are prone to numerous other health issues, where they are then abandoned or killed. Puppy mills produce millions of dogs every year that are given up to kill shelters. Unable to find a forever home because of their mannerisms formed by their previous environment. Their whole lives are spent without ever experiencing love, affection, or sunlight.
