Pets At Home; Stop selling animals that are not neutered!!

The Issue

There are hundreds of animals in rehoming centres at this point in time and a lot of them won't find forever homes with ease. They are bred left, right and centre by irresponsible breeders and one of the most irresponsible when it comes to selling small furries is Pets At Home.

Three times in the last year they have sold my friend rabbits that they sexed incorrectly, leaving one of her rabbits with an injury after the one she was told was a male turned out to be a female.

Pets at Home regularly sell rabbits and Guinea pigs to any adult that walks in and asks for one. Its easy, there are no real checks apart from verbal confirmation you have a set up ready for the pet.

People are criticised for buying puppies and kittens from breeders but no one is stopping Pets at Home from selling breedable pets with ease. Rehoming centres neuter before they rehome, which is sensible considering how many strays and unwanted animals there are. So why aren't Pets at Home?

Why are Pets at Home allowed to sell pets that are not neutered when they are potentially adding to the growing list of unloved bred for profit pets?

It's not fair on the rabbits or guinea pigs being sold.

If Pets are Home were as responsible as they say they would make sure all furries sold by their stores are neutered correctly.
