I am just one of the committed players who have been with Counter Strike since its inception. With the release of Counter Strike 2, however, I've noticed a steep rise in an issue that plagues the gaming platform: rampant, unchecked cheating. It's grown nearly impossible to fairly progress through the game's ranked modes, as an estimated 50% of ranked games at high levels include at least one cheater.

The crux of the problem lies in the inadequacy of Valve's current anti-cheat measures. As much as Overwatch and VAC are hyped, they fail to prevent the encounter with a cheater (who has been doing so for thousands of hours) on a daily basis. It is time for this to change. It's time we demand Valve to take necessary steps and consider implementing enhanced anti-cheat solutions, including options such as intrusive kernel level anti-cheat or AI-based solutions like the ones offered by anybrain.gg.

Cheating doesn't only affect the players who are directly victimized. It erodes the spirit of friendly competition and compromises the integrity of our gaming community. It is an issue that has a far-reaching impact on vast numbers of players worldwide, and that will only grow as frustrated players seek to compete with cheaters.
