Indira Paryavaran Bhawan Jorbagh Road, New Delhi – 110 003 INDIA.

Petition to the Honourable Bhupender Yadav, Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change of India,

WHEREAS climate change poses an urgent threat to our environment, economy, and public health, with South Asia experiencing  all time high temperatures (UNICEF, 2025) and

WHEREAS renewable energy solutions in South Asia remain severely underfunded, with many governments and businesses lacking the knowledge and resources to implement this technology effectively;

WE, the undersigned, call upon you to advocate for international partnerships and funding initiatives that support the development and maintenance of renewable energy infrastructure in rural South Asia.

To achieve this, we request the following action:

  • Introduce international, national, state, and local policies that encourage investment in South Asian renewable energy projects through tax incentives and funding programs.

By taking this action, India can take the lead in addressing climate change, helping South Asia transition towards a cleaner, more sustainable future.
