The Issue

Petition to the City of White House: Take Back Control of the Baseball and Softball League

As residents and stakeholders of the White House community, we respectfully request that the City of White House assume full control and oversight of the community baseball and softball league. Our city is growing rapidly, and it is time our recreational programs reflect the professionalism, fairness, and structure our expanding population deserves.

Currently, the league is volunteer-based and heavily influenced by a small group of board members. While we appreciate their time and dedication, this structure has led to concerns about favoritism, lack of transparency, and subjective decision-making that affects who gets to play, coach, or participate.

A city-managed league would ensure:

Fairness and equal opportunity for all players and families.
Clear policies and accountability from a neutral third party, free from favoritism or “who you know” dynamics.
A professional structure that aligns with the growth and future of White House.

We believe our children and community deserve a league that is inclusive, well-run, and representative of the city’s progress. It’s time to move away from the outdated “good ol’ boy” system and build something better for everyone.

We, the undersigned, call upon the City of White House to take back control of the baseball and softball league and implement a more equitable, transparent, and professionally managed program.
