The Issue

Currently, in Indiana, our families are being targeted by the state’s decision to cut funding from essential programs that are crucial for our children’s success and safety. This not only impacts our children but will also have a ripple effect on the workforce when families are forced to make difficult choices between their children’s safety and their ability to earn a living. If you share our cause and want to join us in standing together for our communities, please continue reading below and, most importantly, sign our petition!
We, the undersigned parents, child care providers, and concerned community members, strongly urge you to halt the proposed reductions in Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) reimbursement rates.
 • Why This Matters: Every day, low-income families rely on CCDF vouchers to provide their children with safe, nurturing, and high-quality child care while they work, go to school, or pursue training. Child care providers, many of whom already operate on razor-thin margins, depend on these funds to keep their doors open.
The recent and proposed cuts to CCDF reimbursement rates are devastating. These reductions:
 • Force parents to choose between paying more than they can afford or losing access to essential child care.
• Push providers toward financial instability, risking closures, staff layoffs, and reduced quality of care.
• Disproportionately harm children from working-class families by limiting their access to early education and a safe learning environment.                  It's About the Kids:
Our children deserve consistent care, trusted educators, and the opportunity to thrive not to suffer because of budget cuts or bureaucratic decisions that ignore their well-being.
  •The Reality:
In many areas, a majority of enrolled children come from CCDF supported families. Expecting providers to absorb these cuts or pass the costs onto families  who already struggle to make ends meet  is unrealistic, unjust, and short-sighted.
 • We ask you to:
 • Pause and reassess any CCDF reimbursement rate reductions.
• Engage directly with providers and families to understand the on-the-ground impact.
•Commit to funding early childhood care as the essential service it is  not a luxury.
•Sign Below to Stand With Families and Providers
Let’s stop these harmful cuts before more families lose access to care and more providers are forced to shut their doors.
Think about the children. Think about the future. Think before you cut.
