As a real victim of sexual harassment, sexual assault, and rape, it's deeply unsettling to witness a false accuser gain every advantage in court due to personal ties with the judge. I was once gaslit into believing that I was responsible for the assault against me, and it took 18 long years and two years of painful reflection to finally recognize my truth—that I did not consent, and I was not to blame.

Now, a similar injustice is unfolding before my eyes in the Baldoni case. Judge Liman, who has known associations with the accuser’s legal team and relatives, appears to be biased in his rulings. When the justice system fails to remain impartial, it does not just deny a fair trial—it revictimizes those who have been wronged, forcing us to relive our trauma.

It's crucial that the judiciary remain detached and fair to ensure both parties have a fair chance at justice. Allowing personal relationships or prior biases to influence judicial decisions undermines the very foundation of our legal system and fails victims like myself, who have sought justice only to find doors closed and biases reinforced.

Justice should not be a privilege bestowed upon those with connections but a fundamental right accessible to every individual, irrespective of their status or connections. My heart hurts for Baldoni, as his situation resembles mine. Justice for him is justice for me, for all of us watching and hoping for a change.

I urge those in authority to take immediate action by removing Judge Liman from the Baldoni case. It is imperative that an unbiased judge presides over the matter, to restore faith in our legal system and provide a genuine path to justice for all involved.
