Petition to reinstate Rosalinda De La Garza and Jasmine Dawkins in FLP

The Issue

Help us bring Ms. Rosie and Ms. Jasmine back to where they truly belong—leading the Future Leaders Program (FLP). Both women were unfairly dismissed by Brewer, and their absence has left an undeniable void in the program.

For the six years I have been a part of FLP, Ms. Rosie and Ms. Jasmine have been nothing short of extraordinary. They embody kindness, compassion, and unwavering dedication. They have always been there to lift my spirits when I was feeling down or unwell, making me feel safe and accepted for who I am. I am confident they have provided the same level of care and support to every one of their students.

From the very beginning, Ms. Rosie and Ms. Jasmine have managed FLP with exceptional diligence and love. Their commitment to the program has only grown over time, reflecting their passion for nurturing and guiding the next generation of leaders. Their presence created a safe, welcoming environment—one where every student felt valued and supported.

I cannot imagine someone else stepping into their roles and jeopardizing the safe space they have built for us. FLP is what it is today because of Ms. Rosie and Ms. Jasmine. Their warm greetings and personalized care have made Saturday mornings something we all look forward to.

Replacing them with someone unfamiliar with the program’s operations or its students could lead to unnecessary challenges. For example, what if transportation logistics are mishandled or lunch orders are forgotten? These seemingly small details reflect the care and attentiveness that Ms. Rosie and Ms. Jasmine consistently demonstrated.

If you have also experienced the positive impact of their leadership, I urge you to sign this petition and share it with others. Together, we can stand against this unjust decision and advocate for the return of Ms. Rosie and Ms. Jasmine to the Future Leaders Program. Change begins with your signature.
