To the Administration of the American School of Kuwait,

We, the parents and members of the ASK community come together to express our collective concerns regarding the current school dismissal times. We believe that these new timings have a detrimental impact on our children and negatively impact them.

Our main concerns:

1. *Traffic Congestion*: Unbearable peak gridlock traffic causing extensively long time periods spent in the car getting to and from campus.

2. *Limited Time Afterschool*: Minimal extracurricular opportunities due to shorter days outside of school. Little time left in the day to pursue interests hindering personal growth and development.

3. *Inadequate Academic Time Afterschool*: Late dismissal forces families to choose between study time, homework, sports, music and other passions/interests negatively impacting academic success and overall well being.

In light of these concerns, we kindly request that the school administration reconsider the current dismissal times and revert to last year’s schedule.

We understand that changes in the daily school schedule may be necessary, but we believe that the well being and success of our children should be a top priority.

We kindly urge you to take our concerns into consideration and work towards a solution that benefits the ASK community as a whole.
