The Issue

Liberty Hill’s Dark Sky designation isn’t just a title, it’s something that directly impacts your quality of life, property value, and our local economy. Right now, that’s at risk. When lighting standards aren’t enforced: • Light spills into your home at night • Glare makes roads less safe • Wildlife disappears • And we begin to lose the stars that make Liberty Hill special. At the same time, we risk losing something bigger: ✨ A multi billion dollar growing tourism economy that brings visitors, supports local businesses, and puts Liberty Hill on the map (Astro tourism & Astrophotography) ✨ A rare community identity centered around our beautiful night skies ✨ A designation we worked hard to earn This is not about new rules. This is about following the ones we already agreed to. Liberty Hill already invested in becoming a Dark Sky community. Now it’s time to protect that investment. By signing, you are supporting: ✔ Consistent enforcement of existing lighting standards ✔ Protection of your home, neighborhood, and night skies ✔ A safer, healthier environment for people and wildlife ✔ Long-term economic growth through astro-tourism. If we don’t act, we risk losing all of it. This is our sky. Our community. Our responsibility. Sign now to protect Liberty Hill’s night Share to help us reach more neighbors Save Our Stars
