Petition to Oppose Bill 68-26
The Issue
Petition to Oppose the Passage of Bill 68-26
Petition to: Chairman Mike Ertel and Councilman David Mark
We, the undersigned, respectfully urge you to vote against the passage of Bill 68-26.
This legislation raises serious concerns regarding its potential impact on our communities, our rights, and
the long-term well-being of those it affects. We believe that laws should be developed through careful
consideration, public input, and evidence-based decision-making. After reviewing this proposal, we believe
that this bill does not adequately address these standards.
- Our concerns include:
The bill may create unintended consequences that negatively affect individuals, families, businesses,or communities. - Important perspectives from affected stakeholders have not been sufficiently considered.
- Alternative approaches exist that could better address the issue without creating the same risks or
burdens. - The legislation requires additional review, public discussion, and revision before any final vote.
We respectfully ask lawmakers to:
- Reject the passage of Bill 68-26.
- Conduct further public hearings and gather additional community feedback.
- Consider alternative solutions that better serve the public interest while addressing the underlying
issue.
By signing this petition, we ask our elected officials to represent the concerns of their constituents and
ensure that any legislation enacted is fair, transparent, and in the best interest of the public.
We respectfully request that you vote NO on Bill 68-26.
