We, the undersigned, respectfully petition the Grand Valley Irrigation Company to increase the depth beneath, or raise, the 26 Road Bridge, and to remove the flume on F 1/2 Road.  These two structures currently create conditions that cause Federally Protected Mallard Ducklings to become trapped and perish each year within the irrigation system.  This petition seeks to ensure that these necessary improvements are included in the upcoming infrastructure work scheduled for fall 2026, when irrigaton water is not flowing and construction can be safely completed.  Grant funding has already been identified to support these upgrades.  By signing below, we express our support for making these improvements to the Grand Valley Irrigation Company canal system to prevent ongoing wildlife loss and to enhance the safety and function of the irrigation infrastructure.
