Petition to Extend the Holy Service of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament (SSS Sri Lanka) ; Holy Rosary Church, Bandirippuwa, Lunuwila, Sri Lanka

බණ්ඩිරිප්පුව ශු. ජපමාල මාතා දේවස්ථානයේ වසර 28ක් පුරාවටම අනූපමේය සේවයක් කල දිව්‍ය සත්ප්‍රසාද නිකාය තම නිල කාලය 2027 ජනවාරි මාසයෙන් පසුව අවසන් වන බව දැනගන්නට ලැබුනි. හලාවත රදගුරු පදවිය සමඟ පවතින නිත්‍යානුකූල ගිවිසුම ලබන වසර මුල අවසන් වෙමින් දිව්‍ය සත්ප්‍රසාද නිකායේ පූජා ප්‍රසාදීන් වහන්සේලා වෙනත් මීසමක් වෙත අනුයුක්ත වීමට නියමිත වී ඇත. 

නමුත් බණ්ඩිරිප්පුව මීසම නියෝජනය කරන ලුණුවිල, බණ්ඩිරිප්පුව, ගාලවත්ත සහ මහවත්ත ප්‍රදේශයේ වෙසෙන දෙස් විදෙස් සියලුම කතෝලික ජනතාව මේ තීරණය වෙනස් කරන මෙන් සියලුදෙනා හලාවත රදගුරු පදවියෙන් නිල වශයෙන් ඉල්ලීමක් කිරීමට මෙම Virtual පෙත්සම අත්සන් කරන මෙන් බණ්ඩිරිප්පුව මීසම නියෝජනය කරන කතෝලික ප්‍රජාවෙන් ගෞරවයෙන් යුක්තව ඇරයුම් කරමි. 

වසර 28ක් පුරාවට බණ්ඩිරිප්පුව මීසම වෙනුවෙන්, ශු. ජපමාල මාතාව වෙනුවෙන්, දිව්‍ය සත්ප්‍රසාද නිකායේ පියතුමන්ලාගේ දේව සේවය සහ ඔවුන් කරන ලද සියලුම කැපකිරීම්, මඟ පෙන්වීම සහ නායකත්වය තුල බණ්ඩිරිප්පුව මීසමේ සියලුම කතෝලිකයන් හට, දුප්පත් පොහොසත් බේදයකින් තොරව සැමට සමානව ඉතාම යහපත් ප්‍රතිඵල රැසක් සහ අප මීසමේ තරුණ තරුණියන්ගේ අභිවෘද්ධිය වෙනුවෙන් ඔවුන් කල සේවය තව වසර ගණනාවක් පුරාවටම අනාගත පරපුර වෙනුවෙනුත් අත්‍යවශ්‍ය වේ. මන්දයත් වේගයෙන් පිරිහී යන ශ්‍රී ලාංකික සමාජයේ කිතුණු විශ්වාසයන් පළුදු වී යන මොහොතක දිව්‍ය සත්ප්‍රසාද නිකායේ පියතුමන්ලාගේ නායකත්වය බණ්ඩිරිප්පුව මීසමට තව දුරටත් අත්‍යවශ්‍ය බන නොරහසකි. 

ඒ නිසාවෙන් මෙම තීරණය වෙනස් කරන ලෙස සහ මීසමේ පියතුමන්ලා ගැන අසත්‍ය අවලාද සහ චෝදනා හලාවත පදවිය වෙත එල්ල කර තිබෙන අප මීසමේම සමහර මුග්ධ මිනිසුන්ගේ ක්‍රියාකලාපයන්ට විරුද්ධ ඔබගේ විරෝධතාවය දැක්වීම උදෙසා මෙම Online පෙත්සම අත්සන් කරන මෙන් ඉතාමත් ආදරයෙන් යුතුව නැවත වරක් ඉල්ලමි. බණ්ඩිරිප්පුව මීසමේ සියලුම කතෝලිකයන්ගේ එකමුතුකම අත්‍යාවශ්‍ය මොහොතක් එළඹ තිබේ. ඔබගේ සහයෝගය ඒ සඳහා දක්වන්න.

ජපමාල අම්මා වෙනුවෙන් තව චිරහත් කාලයකට දිව්‍ය සත්ප්‍රසාද නිකායේ දෙව් පුතුන්ගේ සේවය අපට අත්‍යවශ්‍යයි.

It has come to our attention with deep sorrow that the official service period of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament, who have rendered an unparalleled and devoted ministry to Holy Rosary Church, Bandirippuwa for the past 28 years, is scheduled to conclude after January 2027.

According to the existing formal agreement with the Diocese of Chilaw, the agreement will expire at the beginning of next year, and the priests of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament are expected to be reassigned to another parish.

However, the Catholic faithful living both in Sri Lanka and abroad, representing the areas of Lunuwila, Bandirippuwa, Galawatta, and Mahawatta under the Bandirippuwa Parish, respectfully and earnestly request the Diocese of Chilaw to reconsider and reverse this decision. Therefore, we humbly invite all members of our Catholic community to unite and support this official virtual petition.

For nearly three decades, the priests of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament have faithfully served the Bandirippuwa Parish and Mother Holy Rosary with extraordinary dedication, sacrifice, guidance, and spiritual leadership. Their mission has brought immense blessings and positive transformation to every Catholic in our parish — regardless of social or economic status — while also playing a vital role in nurturing and uplifting the youth of our community.

Their continued presence and ministry are not only valuable for the present generation but are also essential for the future generations of our parish. At a time when Christian values and faith are rapidly declining within Sri Lankan society, the spiritual leadership and guidance of the priests of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament remain more necessary than ever for the people of Bandirippuwa Parish.

We also express our deep concern regarding the false allegations and unjust accusations directed toward our parish priests by a small group of misguided individuals from within our own community. Through this online petition, we respectfully invite all faithful Catholics to stand against such actions and to demonstrate their solidarity, gratitude, and unwavering support for the priests who have selflessly dedicated their lives to our parish.

This is a crucial moment that calls for the unity of all Catholics of the Bandirippuwa Parish. Your support and participation are sincerely needed.
