Before I start my reasonings, Please do not harass the creator of this game. I firmly understand his reasoning as to why he removed the following options, but I hope by getting this petition more popular he could reconsider. At the end of the day this is just a Roblox game, and he is a person at the end of the day who was most likely stressed out; and very upset of what his hard worked turned into.

below are the following things I’ve noticed are missing/ need improvement as of Early 2026. I put them in a list format to help out not only people signing, but developers themselves.

I have a feeling that if we as a community work with them, and be nice and respectful than they will consider working with us. 
here is the list:

-the ability to change your avatars clothing, is removed. Roblox has gotten better at taking down “inappropriate” classic clothing. Which are the clothes meepcity uses. What should be added to prevent outfits being made is a filter system, where outfits with such names or descriptions cant be added into the game. If for whatever reason a clothing item slips through, a report button could be added with a list of “reasons” as to why a piece of clothing, or accessory is removed. 

-Friend messaging system. You can still add friends and teleport to them, and the iconic “psst” sound when they teleport is there. But you can no longer message. And the new system is laggy and has bugs. It takes forever to load when switching tabs to see who is on or offline , and the system is very confusing as it’s not like the old meepcity set up. I think if reorganized it could work much better.  I agree, the old setup was very chaotic and I would not want to go back there. But I’d like to see a messaging system return as Roblox is no longer “soft” and DOESNT allow players to say a lot of things. Which is a very good thing; as children under 13 play Roblox all the time. They shouldn’t be exposed To cursing, or foolish language.

-Playground school, entering ice cream shop, entering the main town section, and entering neighborhood manually without teleportation bug fixes. Loading times take forever, and avatars take a hot minute to reappear. Buildings will or won’t load in and the only thing players can do is reopen the game, and hope for the best. 

-voice chat lagging servers. Voice chat is great in Meep city, this is not saying to remove it. But it cannot lag an entire server if everyone starts talking at once. Servers should get a general upgrade with lag stopping.  Especially since Voice chat is a new feature.

-more clothing options for pets, and furniture for houses. I understand this could take more than one guy, but websites such as Casting Call Club, and twitter, even Reddit, have dedicated fans of the game who are willing to help out. Some have even expressed volunteering on the game, for good intentions. 

-players mention in servers about a Circus that used to be in playground; but was removed. I am not sure how much of this is true. But some people were really passionate about wanting this back in the game.

-fixing music in the plus boombox section that is mostly copyrighted. Allowing players to paste their own music codes. We used to be able to paste our own codes, but as of recently players say it’s hard/ DOESNT work at all. 

-The use of mannequins no longer working but still being purchasable. You can buy them in the shop for 100 coins, but cannot use them. 

-Meep city parties. Which includes the search area for specific interests, and hosting parties in a easy and controlled way. Parties as a whole are removed.

These are the current things I’ve noticed as a player who grew up with the game; but has spent the past week investigating Meepcity. Titkok, and Instagram users have flooded onto their platforms to speak up about their childhood. This has caused people to spam join meepcity thinking old features are back, but when they are disappointed. Most don’t leave. 

instead, what I’ve seen them do is build a sense of community. People stand around chatting or voice chatting about their childhood experiences. How fun and nostalgic this game brings them. Being very grateful the game wasn’t removed entirely, but still rightfully so upset about parties and clothing features. As meepcity is a Roleplay, and social game; that social aspect is still there, but very quickly depleting without it. 

Most players miss the parties, and the freedom to dress up as whoever you wanted to be. Since you could save outfits, it gave players creativity. I can totally see the creators view point as to why he wanted this removed. I myself am an artistic individual, and even tried to make a game a few years back. It is not an easy process, and takes a lot of dedication. I’d be LIVID if I opened my game multiple times to see how it was doing, and seeing individuals ruining it for other people. Looking into the creator’s shoes, I’d even still be upset about the 100’s of emails I get for years of a time period of fans begging me to bring it back. 

Which is why I’m making a petition. Not to encourage harassment towards any of the development team behind Meepcity, especially Alex himself. This is to raise awareness that the community can come back to its glory days of making friends, and having fun if things are restricted and fixed from lag. 

but some may be wondering; what can Alex do about any of this?

for starters, I believe meepcity needs more game passes. But not as expensive. They should be a variety of price ranges so everyone has a shot of affording them. This also helps Alex gain revenue from users and motivates updates.
Getting a team of people can help release the pressure of doing it alone.

fixing lag, and bringing a community can help everyone around.
