This is a petition to change the state flag of Idaho. The current one is far to similar to other states, that being the state seal with a blue background. I propose that we should change it to a flag that stands out amongst the states, a flag that could take place on the international stage, a flag that represents Idaho better and in a simpler manner. Other states have great pride and joy in their flags, being flown everywhere, branded on every piece of merchandise, and seen everywhere. Ours is one that doesn't generate Idaho patriotism, is flown only in select places, and branded on few things, and seldom seen to a point where many people don't even know what it looks like. If I ask people what the Texas flag is they know, the California flag they know, New Mexico they know, and so on. Three states this century have changed their flags, being Mississippi, Georgia, and Utah, so there isn't a reason for us not to. We should join the movement and change our flag as well.
